The South Arkansas Symphony, the state's oldest symphony, is turning 61, and the SouthArkansas Arts Center is celebrating its 53rd anniversary. The SouthArk Outdoor Expo will take place on Saturday, May 6, from 10am to 4pm. M. and offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, hiking, camping equipment and much more.

The event, which took place on a Saturday night in the summer of 1980, led to an infamous downtown area of 1902 that led to a bitter feud between the Tucker and Parnell families.

El Dorado is a city steeped in history and the richest city in Arkansas, thanks to an oil spill that triggered one of the wildest booms in American history almost 100 years ago. Founded in 1965, the Staatspark offers hiking trails within the city limits as well as hiking, mountain biking and mountain biking trails.
